Empowering daily wage workers and local recruiters through digital connectivity
"To bridge the gap between daily wage workers and hyperlocal job opportunities in rural and semi-urban India, ensuring dignity, transparency, and safety for everyone involved."
Kaamkaaz was conceived out of a simple observation: millions of skilled daily wage earners (painters, plumbers, construction workers, agricultural laborers) in India waste hours every morning standing at local labor stands (labor chowks) hoping to find work. Simultaneously, local businesses and households struggle to find reliable workers on short notice.
Recognizing this massive inefficiency, we built Kaamkaaz to digitize the labor chowk. By leveraging GPS technology and simple mobile interfaces in local languages, we enable workers to apply for jobs from their homes and recruiters to hire verified workers instantly.
